Surfacing Flex

DIGG IT!     3 Comments Published Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 11:00 AM .

Want to showcase a Flex application and get developer/company credit? I have created a Flickr account to showcase images of Flex applications. Many times Flex apps reside hidden behind the firewall and public viewing of the live app is impossible. Follow the directions below to get your application showcased on FlexApps!

FLEXAPP SHOWCASE!

Posting Images to FlexApps

1. Capture images of flex application.

2. Email: flexapps@adobe.com like so:

Subject:

Body:

3. Attach Images (NO ZIP FILES!!!)

4. SEND!

WARNING:
- Post images you have permission to post.
- Right to remove images is reserved.
- No notification of publishing will be provided.
- Image publishing will occur in the order they arrive.

Cheers,

Ted :)

    Super idea, Ted.

Many of the apps displayed don't even look like they were made with Flex. It's a perfect set of examples to show people that Flex can definitely be skinned and look great!

You really need to spread the word on this

This potential could be the best advertistment for Flex, specially if ppl start uploading serious internal enterprise applications (ask your boss first!)

Ted, as usual, another cool stuff from you.

    Couple of comments on TagTV:-

    1) I get RTE for YouTube, because of their crossdomain.xml changes. Known issue.

    2) When mouse-cursor is over any thumbnail (from search results), there is no feedback..I expect some glow or something like that. Which makes me understand it's clickable.

    3) When I click any thumbnail, popup appears after some delay which I couldn't know hence clicked two three times. It would be good idea to open a popup as soon as thumbnail is clicked and show a loading message for bigger image...

    4) There is no border around textfield (tags) on top... Having a border would help knowing there is text field..

    5) One more thing, I should be able to maximize the bigger image popup.. Right now popup is fixed size, is it possible to have a maximize button next to close...Maximized popup takes complete stage size. Or it would be great if I can resize the popup from bottom-right corner?

    Hope this helps..

    BTW! Great app...
