Adobe Media Player, GeoLocation, and 360Flex

It seems that there are geo-location restrictions in Adobe Media Player due the content supplied with AMP. The geo-location restriction is currently in the AMP badge during installation and this is why many are not allowed to install AMP. AMP will be adding support in a future release for other geo-locations but the time frame to that release is distant. Had I known in advance about the geo-restriction, I would have gone a different route in preparing syndication of the 360Flex content.

The team is actively working on a plan to correct the issue. We want this content to reach as far and as wide as possible and any type of geo-restriction is not an option.

Stay tuned, we are working around the clock to get this fixed.

Cheers,

Ted :)

    Hi Ted,
I don't know if you changed anything but right now it is working for me from Greece (it wasn't yesterday)
Although I noticed that if you click the install badge it subscribes to the feed no matter if you are already subscribed. I guess that's AMP's matter..

Anyway, bye and thanks for that project!

What is the georestriction? Just wondering since I was in the US - Mississippi - when I tried and failed to use the badge.

Ted, thank you for the clarification.

So, we just use the approach from your previous entry, adding the http://sessions.onflex.org/1733261879.xml RSS Feed to "My Favorites" section in the AMP.

BTW, I believed it was not your fault! ;-)
