"Apollo" codename has been replaced by Adobe Integrated Runtime, Adobe AIR. Tonight we receive Adobe M4 build of Adobe AIR adding first class support for HTML as an application base and a host of new features including an integrated SQLLite engine and ActionScript 3 API.

Long live "Apollo", Welcome Adobe AIR!
Cheers,
Ted :)
DIGG IT!
Can you use Flex Builder 3 to develop for AIR or can you use Flex Builder 2? Will there be a plugin for both since the majority of developers already own Flex Builder 2?
Bobby,
You can package a Flex 2 SWF into AIR with the free packaging tools in the SDK. With Flex Builder AIR is fully integrated and seamless.
You can switch to the 2.0.1 SDK and deploy to AIR.

The King is dead, long live the King!
Should have called it "AIR" in the beginning and released it with the name, Apollo. TBH, AIR sounds pretty effing lame.
Adobe Adobe Integrated Runtime....I agree, the alpha should have had the dry boring name, and the release should have have the wow...Apollo...wow. But what's in a name right.
Hi!
Any link to a tutorial on how to integrate the AIR SDK into Flex Builder 2.0.1?
Thanks to anyone helping!
Apollo was an awesome name. AIR sounds generic. Is that a permanent move? Apollo is a great name and a clear reference.
Did you check adobeair.com ?
Home of Master Cool, Mobile Master Cool, Arctic Circle....
Canīt be worse. We want APOLLO. WOW!
By the way, Flex2 -> Flex3 = HUGE UPGRADE Congrats.
*still considering keeping the name Apollo ;)
Hello Everyone,
Adobe could not use the "Apollo" name because of legal issues. However I think the name AIR is MUCH better. It's a lot more brandable. Think... "My App" runs on AIR or "Built on AIR". I think the name is genius and very creative.
Cheers,
Sam
It's funny how AIR is actually RIA when you read it backwards.
