The Inconvenient Truth: The sun or politics?

This subject has always been one of my favorites. Is the earth warming or cooling and worse are we causing it? This YouTube video takes a look at the science and paints a very different picture. I guess if you want to get elected or funded, the right message is to say the sky is falling.

The Global Warming Swindle

Sorry to interrupt the regular programming, back to Flex!

Cheers,

Ted :)

Like, I was watching there for a while Ted and I get where you're going but I kept getting distracted by Bender & Al Gore YouTube pic.. so ... i ended up going down that path instead.

Actually they both have the same outcome... just Bender is funnier...

Man. Ted, this just makes me sad.

Come on. At least Gore is pretty up front that it is his message that he wants to spread.

This video seems to make some pitch that there is a huge economy behind global warming. WTF? This whole global warming scare is horrible for big business. The last thing large companies want to do is have to spend more money reducing pollution in their manufacturing process.

Yea, the video makes some good points about CO2 and greenhouse gasses. But then, pollution and lack of conservation is causing way more problems than just "warming".

Why Ted? What is the harm in adopting better practices in conservation? Who is right - who cares?!

In the case of the earth, the place that sustains ALL life, isn't it a little better to be "better safe than sorry?"

I just don't understand why people are resistant to actually giving a shit for more than their immediate gratification. It is way too easy to make a huge difference in the world to not do it.

    @john - no interventions please!

@scott - I see you have come to grips with working in the death star.

@brian - Nothing against Al Gore, he created the Internet.

Posted to stir discussion, not riots outside my cube.

Every time Ted gets frisky, Jennifer Garner cries:

Looks like... The Sun! Who'd a thunk it?

"What is the harm in adopting better practices in conservation? Who is right - who cares?!"

Because if human's aren't to blame for Earth's ever changing climate and the sky isn't falling then we can make better judgements about how many jobs will be lost, how many people's lives will be affected by proposals to curb co2.

That makes sense right? We are geeky folks who can see the value in truth & facts yes?

    Why advocate un-truths?

So... where is the video now? If someone would like to see it it is gone.
